I have just finished reading Something's Lost and Must be Found. I couldn't put your stories down and had to finish all seven. If it hadn't been so late, I would have read them all over again. For sure, I will share this book and reread!! I enjoyed these wonderful, inspirational stories. I cheered for each dog and for each needy person choosing to change their lives with a special dog.

This grouping of short stories involving dogs was a pleasure to read. They were all hear-warming and thought-provoking as to how many of our beloved canines are treated by we humans. I would recommend this to anyone that has a soft-spot for dogs.
These six short stories show us how our dogs give us hope and find those things in life that we sometimes lose. The dogs in these tales of tragic loss, family connections, teen-aged angst, joblessness, self-worth, and a very special dog finding his way to "la casa verdad" help us see our lives with our dogs with a new perspective.

This was an enjoyable book. The stories were short but they touched my heart because I love animals. Very easy book to read.
Each one of these stories left me feeling so good. I did have two favorites...the story about the huge black dog Simon...really warmed my heart as did another about "stipends". Come to think of it...each of these stories offered something unique and special and I enjoyed them all. Stories about love for dogs that just makes everything balance out in life...the right way. Definitely recommend.
Something's Lost and Must be Found is a wonderful book with many short stories that revolves around owners and their dogs. First, I have to say that I am a dog lover and a dog groomer. Each story tugged at my heart. The story about a grieving mother learning to love again brought tears to my eyes. The story about Simon/Bear also brought tears...I wanted to adopt him right here and now. Each story was unique and well written by the author that she made you feel the emotions that the owners were feeling. I can't wait to read more stories by Lisa. She truly and genuiely loves dogs...you can feel it in her writing.
This is a terrific book. Thought since it was all short stories I could read a little at a time but ended up zooming through it, totally hooked after the first story. Now I wish I had more. I don't know anyone who wouldn't be able to relate to the stories. All a little different.
Six individual stories each with their own inpirational message. The stories are ones we can all realte to on some level. They are so well written that they warm your heart, tug at your heart strings, bring a tear to your eyes and make you smile. They leave you with every emotion touched and lots to think about. Enjoyed them and recommend them to everyone, whether a dog fancier or not.
